Twilight Essential Question

In fairy tales gender stereotypes are reinforced.  The female lead is a damsel in distress and the male lead is the knight in shining armor coming to the rescue.  

Is Twilight a modern day fairly tale?  Do the characters reinforce this gender stereotype?

in a way, yes. in a way, no. charlie is sort of like her protector, bu she's brave, just even encountering vampires.
